Pierre Beaudin has been working in the field of education for more than 30 years. He is a member in good standing of the Ontario College of Teachers. He has played many roles: teacher, educational consultant, deafblind education consultant, school principal, online course writer, author, university professor, coach and keynote speaker. He offers an additional qualification course for teachers in the field of Autism Spectrum Disorders at the University of Ottawa, where he has also worked as Practicum Coordinator in the Teacher Education Programme. He holds a master’s degree (MEd) in Counselling and is a member in good standing of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. He has also been trained as a trainer in the ESPERE Method popularized by Jacques Salomé.
Father of two exceptional children, Pierre has learned much about challenges, suffering and resilience. The numerous hospitalizations, surgeries and repeated critical condition events of his daughter Mélodie, who is multiply disabled and deafblind, have pushed him to grow and change. Faced several times with what seemed to be his daughter’s imminent death, Pierre experienced great pain and anxiety. Because of this, Pierre has learned to be more resilient. He desires to share his experience in the hope that it may help others, as he is keenly aware that everyone faces difficulties and that many people also deal with mental health challenges.
Pierre offers his services in both official languages.
